Beautiful morning. Kenda taught briefly on Identity as God's Child along with the help of Luke, our son. She explained just how we discover who we are as we get to know God. She went on to explain just what "The Apple of God's Eye" means - we are close enough that we see our reflection of ourselves in His eye. It's in Christ we discover who we truly are in Him. Then we all watched the Snoodle's Tale which is all about allowing our Creator; God the Father tell us who we truly are in Him. Beautiful picture as the Snoodle allows God the Father unpack his back-pack of all the lies he has grown accustomed to believing, and replacing it with the Truth. Darcy's final teaching centred on how we as people end up covering ourselves, and all the shame we carry, with something the church Fathers called The False Self. As Thomas Merton puts it, "we wind experiences around ourselves like bandages in order to make ourselves more perceptible to ourselves and the world." But the Lord in His grace goes after us, poking holes at our False Self, whispering "I love you."
