What do I do?
I am a retired school teacher who has taken up being a child support worker for the SSCS, keeping me young and ever learning. My husband John and I have five adult children each with families of their own and living all across North America. My greatest delight though is being a grandma to my “local” grandchildren, Timothy, Michael and Naomi. My husband John and I have been attending The River the past nine years.
One thing most people don’t know about me:
Four years ago, I enjoyed the most memorable trip of my lifetime. I went with my siblings to the town where we all were born in The Netherlands.
A few of my favorite things:
Going for walks, talks and lattes with wonderful friends, swimming in our local lakes, singing, going up the Sea to Sky Gondola and looking for creative ways to love people in my community.
The River Church has joined www.simplechurches.ca - a network of house churches started in the Vancouver area in 2006. Together we're praying that the long history of good ministry in the Squamish area will expand. We're praying for a regional network of house churches from Lions Bay to Lillooet. Would you consider joining us in our mission?
