Multiple Passages Throughout the Gospels

Kenda requested that I take her talks off the website; which helps explain why they're not found.

We value and love the fact that Kenda is speaking once per month at the River, says so much doesn't it? But if you would like to hear her speak, you'll have to attend one of her CWG's. ;-)

This Family Sunday Kenda focussed on the Country of Egypt, and had pits and hummis at each table. As a church we split into 11 groups and took 2 minutes to pray for the current issues and struggles Egypt faces.

Following the first Global Focussed time, Kenda played a game, showed a video clip from the Jesus movie, and then taught on Kindness.

One of the things that became apparent through the teaching time, was just how Jesus responded to people through these gospel passages, highlighting the people's misconceptions and misunderstandings of who / what God was like. How Jesus responded would have been very difficult for people to grasp; it would have been a huge paradigm shift, and would have been missed if it wasn't for the ministry of the Holy Spirit to open their eyes.

Makes you wonder what kinds of faulty paradigms we still hold onto regarding the character of the Father, Son and Spirit?

Here are the questions Kenda had each of us work through, as part of her teaching.

What major themes did Jesus focus on?
2. Who are the others in the story and how did society see/relate to them?
3. How was Jesus present? What was he like in this situation?
4. What aspect of God’s character is being revealed to this person/s?
