The Scriptures remind us again and again that it's not by might, or by power, but by God's Spirit living inside of us that we live. As humans we often grow weary and tired, we often run on empty and try to do life on our own strength. But that's not how life was intended to be lived, in fact Jesus promised that He would give us the Spirit, not a force but a person, meant to live inside of us.
In light of this the Apostle Paul told us we can simply ask to be filled. And that we are to be filled daily...why daily? Likely because we leak; life has a way of causing us to leak. So how do we be filled? How do we exchange our weakness for His strength? Well that is what Alpha Holy Spirit weekend is all about.
