When Desmond Tutu was a boy, he saw a white priest tip his hat to his mother, who was a black domestic cleaner. That small courtesy changed his life.
Scripture describes the Kingdom of God like a mustard seed, the smallest of all seeds, yet when fullgrown, the mustard plant becomes the largest of all garden plants; so large that birds can make nests in it's branches.
That's what the Kingdom of God is like. We who have embraced the Kingdom of Christ, go about planting seeds of the Kingdom of God whereever we go. By God's grace these seeds are small, and often go un-noticed by the one planting and by the one receiving. Yet, these small seeds when planted in healthy furtile soil make a huge difference. One little action at a time, by God's grace, change the world.
"Lord, take even my smallest actions and use them to change the world."
